Heart in Relationships
Perhaps you will recognize this: that the very people you feel closest to are the ones you have the most struggles with: your partner, children, parents, siblings and your closest friends and colleagues. What is it that gets in the way of harmony and ease and leads to distance and tension? What makes it so difficult?
Through services offered at Heart in Communication you will discover the answers to these questions and gain insights and tools that support you to create the quality of relating you long for.
1:1 and couple’s sessions
1:1 empathy sessions support a deep-dive into yourself which can be supportive when you are feeling confused, in pain, depressed or anxious about something. Sessions can be in person or through zoom. I can provide you with tools to use between sessions to be able to practice or apply NVC to self-empathy, empathy, honest expression and dialogue.
Sessions are also available to couples to practice and hone skills in communicating in ways that create more connection, understanding and compassion bewteen you. How to take a time-out respectfully, deal with rising tensions in a way that de-escalates or simply, how to listen without hearing critism or blame; these are all skills you may wish to practice to improve your relating.
Mediation with loved ones
What can we do to bridge the distance that grows over time in our personal relationships? So much of this distance stems from misunderstanding each other’s intentions. Mediation can be used for specific conflicts, and can also be used to close the gap that has grown between people over time, so hearts can open again with love and understanding.
Using The No Fault Zone game © and other tools, I support loved ones to put the heart in communication and bridge the gap. I work with parents and children of any age, couples or any close relationships. Mediation with children under 12 takes 2 hours and with anyone older than 12, it takes 3 hours. I meet for half an hour with both parties separately before bringing you together.
