This course made using NVC in private and working life more fluent and natural, less of a ‘trick’. It helped me to view certain real-life situations from another angle so I could re-connect to the people involved.

Deep Empathy

So often when we face challenges, we spend a lot of time thinking about what to do. During
Deep Empathy, I support you to go beneath your thoughts into the deeper layers of the “life
within you”: the underlying feelings and longings that shape your thoughts. From this more
vulnerable space, self-connection can grow, along with new insights, greater understanding,
and sometimes fresh solutions.

You may come to a session because you want more inner clarity. Or you may want support
in expressing yourself in a way that others can hear, or in better understanding someone
else. It might be with a loved one, a colleague, or in any situation where you would like to
communicate differently. Whatever your focus, Deep Empathy offers a space to slow down,
listen deeply, and discover new ways of moving forward.

How I work

At the heart of Deep Empathy is presence — accompanying you with curiosity and care. Empathy means listening with full attention, seeking to understand what is most alive in you, so that what truly matters can be heard and acknowledged. From that foundation, I draw on a variety of tools depending on what will best support you in the moment.

Sometimes this means role-play or practicing concrete skills such as self-connection, self-expression, or empathic listening. Each session is tailored to you, always with the intention of deepening self-connection and opening space for new possibilities.

At other times, especially if you are familiar with Nonviolent Communication, we may work with one of the NVC Dance Floors, such as:

Self-Empathy Dance
This dance supports a deep dive into what’s happening inside you. It helps you move from confusion or inner conflict toward greater clarity, care, and inner peace.

Yes/No Dance
Helpful when you’re facing a big decision. Instead of weighing pros and cons or judging what’s “right” or “wrong,” this dance supports you to connect more deeply with your needs and choose from there.

Educator–Chooser
Useful when you regret something you did. It helps you listen to the different “voices” inside, shift from self-criticism to learning, and move forward with more self-compassion.

Transforming the Pain of Unmet Needs
A powerful process if you’re carrying painful memories or disappointments. It allows you to touch into the pain and then reconnect with the underlying needs, experiencing their depth and vitality.

Anger/Shame Dance
Supportive when strong emotions like anger, shame, guilt, or depression are present. It guides you to uncover what lies beneath and transform these feelings into clearer self-understanding and connection.

For Couples

Couple’s sessions offer a space to slow down together and explore new ways of connecting.
You might come because there is tension or repeated conflict, or simply because you want to
strengthen your communication and understanding of one another.

In these sessions I support you both to listen more deeply, express yourselves with more
clarity, and practice skills that can bring more ease and connection into your relationship.
If you’d like to explore what a couple’s session could bring to your relationship, I warmly
invite you to get in touch.
