Heart in Community: A Week-long NVC Retreat

    27 June – 3 July 2027 · Dordogne, France

During this week-long deep dive into experiencing a more intimate quality of human connection, you will learn, practise and live Nonviolent Communication together with a small group of people from different parts of the world. We will explore what becomes possible when we slow down, listen deeply and express ourselves honestly in the safety of a warm community setting. The retreat combines NVC learning and practice with the experience of sharing everyday life together in the beautiful Dordogne countryside — empathy exchanges, Dance Floors and other NVC processes, self-connection, honest expression and role-plays, alongside movement, bodywork, swimming, walks in the countryside, good food and time to relax and rest.

    Is this retreat for me?

The retreat is for people who have a foundation in NVC and would like to deepen their practice, experience NVC in community and bring it more fully into the way they live and relate with others.

New to NVC? You are very welcome too — you can join one of the 8-week online Foundation Courses before the retreat so you arrive with enough experience to join us for the week.

For those on, or considering, the CNVC certification path, the retreat includes in-person training with two CNVC Certified Trainers, counting towards 6 full days of training.

    Your trainers

Cordelia Addison — CNVC Certified Trainer. Cordelia guides the retreat programme, bringing many years of experience in teaching and practising Nonviolent Communication.

Fatos Ates — CNVC Certified Trainer, joining us from Turkey. Fatos supports learning, practice and community throughout the week and leads parts of the programme.

    The setting

We'll be staying at Boutique Retreat, a beautiful new retreat center in the heart of the Dordogne countryside, surrounded by nature and wide-open views of the surrounding hills and valley. With a swimming pool, gardens and outdoor spaces, comfortable rooms and both indoor and outdoor spaces for our sessions, there is plenty of room to learn and practise together, and to step away, rest, swim, wander or enjoy the quiet.
